1) the order of operation is to a) Upload the File then b) create the new record.

Since the record ID is not known at the time of upload, the record ID cannot be used as the file name.

2) In the "How to apply Digital File Pro to DataAssist Insert and Update pages" tutorrial on the DataAssist support page, see the "Displaying your upload images on DataAssist pages" section.
