No, you will not need to rename your columns if you edit the parameter names to remove the first underscore. 
Ok, well that is certainly out of the question. I literally have hundreds of columns with most already in the system and being used. I would literally have to start from day one all over again on a project I started in May.
So what you guys are saying is that Dreamweaver uses underscores and you guys use underscores but users aren't suppose to because it interferes with the way WebAssist does stuff?

Shouldn't that be the other way around? Shouldn't the extension work with the program, not the program work with the extension? If I designed car stereos I wouldn't think that BMW would redesign all their cars to fit my stereos ....
This is a huge black mark against Web Assist. Wow ...
