Does the 3.0.1 update cover the following issue - part2

Just created a new product with a size category.
Created medium first followed by small, large, XL and 2XL than noticed that it had created 2 mediums, the second medium did not have "delete" as an option. Thinking it may be a naming problem, I've tried changing that name to enable a delete but to no avail.
