Data Assist Wizard won't open

New DW Website etc still not working

I'm getting really frustrated. I went all the way thru the instructions on how to set up a dynamic DW website and created a PHP db connection. I still can't run DataAssist wizard. Keeps saying "DataAssist Wizard is compatible only for the following server models: ColdFusion, PHP, ASP VBScript, ASP JavaScript.

I have set up a brand new xammp server set up and a mysql db set up which is properly recognized in the databases window of Dreamweaver (CS5). I'm going to try to do some hand done code form my SAMS Teach it Yourself "PHP, MySQL and Apache" book. I bought DataAssist because it seemed like the easy way to go.

Running Windows 7 with XAMMP 1.7.3. All seems ok but still no cigar!

I have only a single index.html page on the site. It is built from a template from one of my main sites but it has nothing in it except for the menu buttons.

I certainly am learning a lot more about this business but sure would like to get some progress with building the interface to a database I am hoping to set up soon.

Thanks for any and all help.
