Currency issues

Once again I have reviewed the pdf document that you referred to and still it is unclear e.g Products_Results.php days open in design view (change the $ symbol) I cannot see any currency symbol in design view. I have attached a screen dump.
The pdf refers to a Note which refers to a page but it is not clear which page. Has anyone tried to follow the pdf document and and actually made all the necessary changes. What is required is relevant pages redesigned for different currencies. In the least the instructions should be made clearer, page by page and line by line, the total of how many currency symbols to be changed on each page either in code or design view.
I have bought a product that was sold as a simple online shopping cart that can be updated and changed using the cms. When it comes to currencies this cannot be done without web design software. Surely this is deceiving your international customers or simply not thought through.
It would be appreciated to give specific answers to each of the above questions so I can determine if I too require a total refund.
