Related Items on Details Page

Related Items on Details Page

Hi,

Ok, I have a products table and 3 main categories for possible related items. How would I go about showing these related items if there is any (I know show region here) on the details page of the main item? I would only want to show those specific to that item. Also there could be more than 1 item in a given categorie for that initial item. The table layout is what's blowing my mind. I'm thinking two tables and a inner join of some sort. Hope this makes some sense.
