Error message in new version

I have downloaded the latest version of Power CMS, and have replaced the files as adviced.
When updating the site, I now get errors I didn´t get prior to this. I can update text file, but when I try to add images, I get the following error after trying to browse on the server:

"There are errors in your configuration or server. If the messages below describe missing variables, please check the supplied configuration.php.dist for notes on their usage.
KFM does not work if you have safe_mode enabled. This is not a bug - please see PHP.net's safe_mode page for details"

I have uploaded the files exactly as they were when I downloaded them from your site. I have updated the settings in the globals file so they are exactly the same as they were.

Please help asap - what do I need to do to get this to work? What is KFM??
