SSL lock not showing after installation

Hi Ray,
thanks. But in the normal scheme of things, when people click onto the site - ie - and hit the buy now button (paintings / growth series etc) and it goes to the cart. This is still in HTTP. They then hit the checkout button, but it Remains HTTP - ie it doesn't go secure. Should it? The only time it goes secure at the moment is if i actually type in etc which the customer is not going to do...
