You were probably calling on a weekend. Somebody will likely get in touch with you today. It is still 8AM PST where the webassist office is, so people are just now showing up to start the work week.
Instead of renaming your entire config folder and enabling and disabling all your extensions, try this.
Get your original config folder back and make sure the extension manager shows all extensions as installed.
Then close DW and go to the configuration folder and delete the file includes the name winfilecache it should be the only .dat file in the configuration folder.
Once that is deleted, open DW. That should clear the DW cache without having to reinstall or remove anything.
