write sql to expire records on a results page using dataassist search

Thread began 10/29/2009 6:45 pm by JBWebWorks | Last modified 10/30/2009 5:06 pm by JBWebWorks | 1909 views | 3 replies

I want the item to not display if it is more than 60 days since posting, so if it is greater than 60 days ago it will show, when the current date less 60 days is more than the posting date, the item is expired and will not display.

I could not get it to work with the dataAssist search, so i rewrote the sql to this and it works like i want.

SELECT *,DATE_FORMAT(items.item_listed, '%b %e, %Y') AS theDate
FROM items INNER JOIN accounts ON items.account_ID = accounts.account_ID
WHERE items.item_title LIKE %var1% AND items.item_listed>= CURDATE() - INTERVAL 60 DAY OR items.item_description LIKE %var1% AND items.item_listed>= CURDATE() - INTERVAL 60 DAY

var1 is $_POST['searchbox']
