Incorporating AJAX into DA results page

Hi Ray, I use the DataTables plugin to add instant filtering and data search options to a DA results page. The database has over 4,000 entries and it's taking DataTables around 16 seconds to load because of this. They do offer an additional parameter to allow server-side processing using AJAX but I'm not sure how to implement this on my page, but I know nothing about AJAX! I noticed you do have an example of using AJAX in one of your tutorials, so I wondered if this is something you could help me with? I've attached a copy of the page as it is currently and the DataTables documentation gives the following example of how to add server-side processing to speed up load times:

$(document).ready(function() {
$('#example').DataTable( {
"processing": true,
"serverSide": true,
"ajax": "../server_side/scripts/server_processing.php"
} );
} );
