Logins no longer working?

Hi Ray, I'm having an issue and I don't know if the problem is a Php upgrade, MySqli change or what but the site I built last year is doing some strange things.

Although I can log into the administrator area, anyone else who is in the database, when they try get an error message that says Please Enter a Value, but that is where their name was entered.

Also, the catalog area, which has a user permissions database sends a forgotten password reminder from From: instead of the website name. Also, even with the name and password, it goes into a loop to sign in and will not let anyone enter. If I am logged in to my admin account I can get there, but not with my email and password. I need some help with this, and not sure what steps to take. I believe it was all working correctly last year and not sure why only my admin login works.
