Logins no longer working?

Hi Ray, I'm having an issue and I don't know if the problem is a Php upgrade, MySqli change or what but the site I built last year is doing some strange things.

Although I can log into the administrator area, anyone else who is in the database, when they try get an error message that says Please Enter a Value, but that is where their name was entered.

Also, the catalog area, which has a user permissions database sends a forgotten password reminder from From: yourname@yourserver.com instead of the website name. Also, even with the name and password, it goes into a loop to sign in and will not let anyone enter. If I am logged in to my admin account I can get there, but not with my email and password. I need some help with this, and not sure what steps to take. I believe it was all working correctly last year and not sure why only my admin login works.

I was able to log in without issues. What should I do to reproduce the login issue?

Line 39 of forgotpassword.php you have:

"fromAddress"=>"yourname@yourserver.com",

You can update the from address there.

try login in with a different admin and user

The admin has validation requiring the username to be at least 6 characters in length. The login isn't working in your example because it has only 5 characters. You can update the restriction on your admin login page on line15.

Thanks Ray, but the limit is not what is affecting the catalog page login, which is for dealers and not admins (if you are logged in as an admin, you will be able to access the catalog by default, so you need to log out to test it)

The error is on this page: https://dealerssupplyco.com/login.php which requires an email as username. It is failing but not saying why.

I was able to log in with the credentials you gave me (both dealer logins) and view the catalog. Maybe it is an issue with your browser?

I looked in your database and that user's password isn't set. Their password field appears to be blank.

Hi, I think you were looking at the wrong table? the login for customers is users@ I had a duplicate table that was part of the early AUTO attempt I made to create things using the Wizard. Users@ with a capital U

So to be sure I updated the Users@ to use the identical passwords. Before there were none in that table. I am still getting the same result: Invalid username of password

Your password for that user has a line break in it:

["UserPassword"]=>
string(9) "BnsL662+
"

You can't add a line break into a password entry field, so it would always fail. You will have to update the password in the database and remove the line break.
