Should we remove the old versions of eCart?

Hello! Should I remove the previous version of ecart server behavior from my store pages and start over on these pages with the new version if I'm using repeat region and PHP and they weren't working before? In other words the fixes specifically address the problems I was having. I was wondering if just installing the new version was enough - or if it was necessary to re-apply the new version's server behavior to my pages that had the previous version.
