Validation tooltips error on cssform builders

Hello again, sad to report another problem, i created a form using css form builder, then i apply to it the spry validations tooltips, it works at half if i dont submit the form they work but if i submit the form they desapear and give the normal server side error msgs, in firefox i get the following javascript error

Timestamp: 04/07/2012 05:35:43 p.m.
Error: e is not defined
Source File: validation_tooltips.js
Line: 254

that line is
var childNodes = nestedSpan.childNodes;

i apply the tooltips to several forms and its happening on each one of them, from forms created by security assist and css form builder, it does not happen on forms created directly from the data assist wizard
