when you say "edit the user table". Is this something in your product? Because I can't see anything in cpanel that would allow me to do this.

editing the database table is not something that security assist can do.

you would need to use a mySQL GUI Tool to access the database and edit the table to add the new column.

most hosts will a section of the cpanel for doing this using PHPMyAdmin.
