setting CSS for menu item corresponding to page

setting CSS for menu item corresponding to page

I might be being really stupid here, and missing something blindingly obvious. Is there a quick and easy way to make this (otherwise excellent!) system work so that the menu displays the

ul#cssmw > li > a:active

CSS for the link that corresponds to the page (or page group) that the menu is actually on?

I could hack out a php script to get the URL of the page and see if it corresponds to the link address, and if so, change the style of that particular LI tag. But before I get dirty with that, am I missing some existing function or simple setting change?
