Permissions of folders created by Image Resizer

I have discoverd that any folder created by Image Resizer is assigned the "apache" user which means that I am unable to edit the folder permissions or delete the files.

I was wondering if anyone else has come across this and worked out how to fix it?

Is there a setting inside Image Resizer where you can specify what User is assigned to the folders it creates?
