Frequently Asked Questions

How do I modify PowerStore 3 with Theme-It?

You can easily use Theme-It to modify your PowerStore 3 site design.

  1. In Dreamweaver, define a site to your PowerStore 3 files.
In most cases you will have already installed PowerStore on your remote server.  Simply, download the files from your remote server and define a Dreamweaver site to the location where you downloaded the files.
  2. Open the PowerStore index.php page to modify the home page.
  3. From the Dreamweaver Modify menu choose Theme-It.
  4. Make your desired changes from within the Theme-It interface.
Refer to the Theme-It documentation for assistance.
  5. Click Finish in Theme-It to have your changes applied.
  6.  Lastly, upload your PowerStore files to your live server.
To save time uploading your entire PowerStore site again, you can usually just upload the page you modified, and any associated style sheets.

You will want to repeat this process to a PowerStore content page (such as aboutus.php) to modify the design used by PowerStore's content pages.  Since these pages share the same style sheet, modifying one content page should update all of them.

Theme-It changed the appearance of a page that wasn't even open in Dreamweaver.
Theme-It will modify any CSS styles that are related to the current page open.  In many cases, other pages in your website will be using these styles and will also change when you apply Theme-It.  This allows you to quickly change your entire site design without having to make updates one page at a time.
I want to undo the changes that Theme-It made to my site.

The Theme-It Revert button allows you to undo the most recent Theme-It application.  This will overwrite the affected pages/files with a backed up version which was created when you entered Theme-It prior to applying any changes.

After reverting, you will have the opportunity to undo the revert to recover the modified version of your pages/files.

I'm editing PowerStore with Theme-It but my menu appears incorrectly.

There is an issue with the shared Preview folder that various WebAssist products are using.  The incorrect menu is displaying due to an older preview from a different WebAssist extension such as SiteAssist Professional or CSS Menu Writer.
Follow these quick steps to fix this issue:
1.  Close Theme-It.
2.  Navigate to the following directory on your computer:

Windows XP

Dreamweaver CS3 : C:\Documents and Settings\<Your User Name>\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver 9\Configuration\Shared\WebAssist\Preview
Dreamweaver CS4: C:\Documents and Settings\<Your User Name>\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver 9\Configuration\Shared\WebAssist\Preview

Windows Vista/Windows 7

Dreamweaver CS3: C:\Users\<Your User Name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver 9\Configuration\Shared\WebAssist\Preview
Dreamweaver CS4: C:\Users\<Your User Name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US\Configuration\Shared\WebAssist\Preview

Mac OSX

Dreamweaver CS3: Hard disk: Users: <Your User Name> : Library: Application Support: Adobe: Dreamweaver 9:Configuration: Shared: WebAssist: Preview
Dreamweaver CS4: Hard disk: Users: <Your User Name> : Library: Application Support: Adobe: Dreamweaver CS4: en_US:Configuration: Shared: WebAssist:Preview

3. Highlight the entire contents of this folder and delete.
4. Return to Dreamweaver and open Theme-It.
