Q: Do you provide a purchase guarantee for PowerStore?
A: If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact Sales within 15 days of your purchase to receive a full refund.
Q: Do you offer a trial or demo of PowerStore?
A: WebAssist does not currently offer trials or demos of our products. Instead we offer a 15 day money back guarantee with every purchase of PowerStore.
Q: Can I receive a discount if I purchase more than one license?
A: Yes, you can save the most if you buy multiple licenses at once as we offer 10% off two licenses, 20% off three licenses and so on - up to 50% off six or more licenses. Or if you prefer to only buy one license at a time, you can save 10% off when when you buy the second license, 20% off when you buy the third license, and so on - up to 50% off. Please contact Sales in order to receive your discount.
Product Specific
Q: Do I need to own Dreamweaver to use PowerStore?
A: No. PowerStore comes with a set of pre-built pages that are ready to be uploaded to your web server. You can edit the pages using any editor of choice, including Dreamweaver.
Q: How is PowerStore licensed (i.e. how many stores can I set up)?
A: When you purchase PowerStore, you receive a single license to set up PowerStore on one live domain. The serial number can be activated on a testing domain (i.e. localhost) in addition to your live domain allowing you to configure and customize your site prior to going live.
Q: Can PowerStore be used without any coding knowledge?
A: Yes. PowerStore can be used without any prior coding knowledge.
Q: Can PowerStore be rebranded, e.g. can I change the logo with a different one?
A: Yes. There are no restrictions regarding the rebranding of PowerStore. Therefore, if you wish to utilize a different logo or branding throughout the solution then you may do so.
Q: Can PowerStore be used without a database?
A: No. PowerStore requires a MySQL database to operate. However, you only need to create the database and have the credentials for accessing that database. PowerStore’s Installation Wizard will handle creating all the necessary database tables for you.
Q: Do you need to own other WebAssist products to use PowerStore?
A: No. PowerStore is a fully functional online store and you do not need to own or use any other WebAssist products.
Q: Can the details, such as price, be different for each product option?
A: Yes. All details for each individual product option (including price, image, cart description, short description, and long description) can be specified/customized for each individual product option you create. In addition, PowerStore includes two other types of options (Simple and Conditional) which cannot have different product details than the primary product.
Q: I want to use PayPal to process payments. Is PayPal Website Payments Pro required?
A: No. PowerStore supports three different PayPal payment solutions: PayPal Website Payments Pro, PayPal Express Checkout, and new in PowerStore 4 – PayPal Website Payments Standard. However, PayPal Payments Pro is the only service that can provide a checkout process that never leaves your website.
Q: Can I use PowerStore to sell digital goods?
A: Yes. PowerStore 4 can handle any variety of physical or digital goods. After your customer purchases a digital good from your store, they will have access to their Download Center that lists all the products they can download.
Q: Can I set download limits on digital goods I sell?
A: Yes. You can specify a max number of downloads if you want to permit only a certain number of downloads per purchase.
Q: What type of checkout does PowerStore support?
A: PowerStore can utilize either local or remote checkout depending on the payment gateway you use. Local checkout allows the entire payment process for your customers to occur directly on your website whereas remote checkout requires that your customer be directed to the payment gateway to complete their payment.
Q: How does PowerStore handle taxes?
A: PowerStore allows you to specify the tax rate for the state in which you do business. However, any purchases made by customers outside of the state your business operates in, do not have to pay taxes - this is automatically accommodated for within PowerStore. Those who do not wish to charge a sales tax at all, or include this tax in the price of their products, can simply set the tax rate to 0.
Q: How does PowerStore handle international shipping rates?
A: PowerStore allows you to choose an international shipping option based off of the shipping provider that you use. The option you choose will be used to calculate the rate for shipping to countries outside of the country you do business within. For all shipments shipped within your country ground shipping will be used to calculate rates.
Q: Will PowerStore work in Internet Explorer 6?
A: Due to the limitations of Internet Explorer 6, we cannot guarantee that PowerStore will work flawlessly in this legacy browser. Customers visiting your store in this browser should be able to complete their purchase and navigate your store. However, administrators should use a modern browser such as Firefox, Chrome, or Safari to administer their products and customize their design.
