Do I need to own Dreamweaver to use PowerCMS?

No. PowerCMS is a set of pre-built pages that can be edited or modified in any WYSIWYG or text editor.

Do you offer a trial or demo of the PowerCMS?

WebAssist does not provide trials or demos of our pre-built PHP solutions. However, we do offer a sample PowerCMS; CLICK HERE to view.

Can PowerCMS be used without any coding knowledge?

Yes. PowerCMS can be used without any prior coding knowledge or experience.

Can PowerCMS be used without a MySQL database?

PowerCMS requires a MySQL database to operate. However, we provide you with the necessary database tables which are ready to use with your MySQL database. If you have never worked with a database in the past you may want to consider downloading our free Database Stater Kit for PHP.

Do you need to own other WebAssist products to use PowerCMS?

While Dreamweaver extensions from WebAssist, such as DataAssist, and SecurityAssist, can be used to enhance PowerCMS, they are not required.

Does PowerCMS have the ability to create or add pages to my website?

No. PowerCMS requires that you add code to the existing pages on your site, therefore allowing you to make changes and modifications to specified content areas.

Can you define different user levels such as admin, moderator, editor, etc...?

PowerCMS includes a single administrator login and does not include the ability to specify different user levels. However, you can edit/customize PowerCMS with SecurityAssist one of our Dreamweaver extensions to include this additional functionality.

Can PowerCMS be used with HTML pages?

No. PowerCMS must be used with PHP pages due to the fact that the content in PowerCMS is displayed dynamically (from a database) on the various pages of the website you tie into PowerCMS. However, in most cases you can simply rename the pages from .html to .php and then add the code that PowerCMS provides (when you insert new content) to the page you want your client to be able to update and everything will work properly. Can PowerStore be rebranded, e.g. can I change the logo with a different one?

Yes. There are no restrictions regarding the rebranding of PowerCMS. Therefore, if you wish to utilize a different logo or branding throughout the solution you may do so.

Can a user select various CSS styles within PowerCMS?

Out of the box, PowerCMS only gives users the ability to define text as Heading 1, Heading 2, etc. The actual CSS style is then inherited from the page that content is displayed on. However, if you wanted your users to be able to select different CSS styles from a particular style sheet you would use HTML Editor, one of our Dreamweaver extensions, to customize the WYSIWYG toolbar in PowerCMS.

What is the most common use of PowerCMS?

PowerCMS is most commonly utilized by developers to provide clients with the ability to quickly and easily modify and maintain content on their site.

How is PowerCMS licensed (i.e. how many sites can I set up)?

When you purchase PowerCMS, you receive a developer's license to develop as many websites as you desire; all for one low cost.

Do you have a return policy?

Since PowerCMS, our PHP CMS solution, is a non-tangible irrevocable (non-activated) product we do not issue refunds once the order has been completed and the product has been delivered via your Download Center.
