eCart 5, after checkout the cart is not cleared

eCart 5, after checkout the cart is not cleared

I am using the eCart 5 (with session variables, MacOSX and CS4) and my checkout is to send an order list via e-mail.
The problem: when I made checkout the cart is not cleared.
In fact (after I have made chekout and sent e-mail) if I go in the catalog for a new checkout and I click on "Add to Cart" button, when I view the cart the new product is added to the privious cart.

Besides, I don't know if it is for the same cause, but I notice that the Order Number after it has arrived (with auto increment) to the fifth record, now it stopped at 5 and it modifies this record insted of increasing.

Thank you very much.

I would clear only eCart sessions and not user logged sessions.

Thanks again

Thank you jenbar3378469, I have also writed my results in that thread.
I still haven't resolved my problem. Because I have four session variables. The script is this (I also write the line number):

php:
277 <?php

// Initialize the session.
        // If you are using session_name("something"), don't forget it now!

session_start();

//store the user session

$userSession $_SESSION['var_CL_ID'];

$nomeSession $_SESSION['var_CL_Nominativo'];

$mailSession $_SESSION['var_CL_Un_Email'];

$privSession $_SESSION['var_CL_Priv'];

// Unset all of the session variables.
290  $_SESSION = array();

// If it's desired to kill the session, also delete the session cookie.
        // Note: This will destroy the session, and not just the session data!

if (ini_get("session.use_cookies")) {

$params session_get_cookie_params();

setcookie(session_name(), ''time() - 42000,

$params["path"], $params["domain"],

$params["secure"], $params["httponly"]
           );
300   }

// Finally, destroy the session.

session_destroy();
        unset(
$_SESSION);

session_regenerate_id();
306

//reset user session

$_SESSION['var_CL_ID'] = $userSession;

$_SESSION['var_CL_Nominativo'] = $nomeSession;

$_SESSION['var_CL_Un_Email'] = $mailSession;

$_SESSION['var_CL_Priv'] = $privSession;
312 ?>

but I get this error:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at D:\atpz.it\atpz.it\atpz_area_Cliente_checkout_succ ess.php:194) in D:\atpz.it\atpz.it\atpz_area_Cliente_checkout_succ ess.php on line 300

It seems that there is some output occurring on the checkout success page on line 194. I think this might be the main cause of the problem you are experiencing. You can't have session start and regenerate id after headers have been sent or output has occurred. It might be a white space character new line 194. If possible please post back with the page in question so that we can look at all these lines of code to see what the problem may be.

Of course.

Here it is. I also attached the included files.

Besides, I don't if it is son of the same problem, but I have problem with the next step: sending e-mail. Not to all e-mail addresses the e-mail has sent. But probably it is another problem...

Thanks again

I did not see any output on line 194 so I'm not sure if I'm seeing the page correctly but I did see a potential problem near line 300. The code that starts on line 296 looks like it has some line breaks in it. You should remove these so that the cod just after line 295 looks like this:

php:
if (ini_get("session.use_cookies")) {

    $params = session_get_cookie_params();
    setcookie(session_name(), '', time() - 42000, $params["path"], $params["domain"], $params["secure"], $params["httponly"]);
}

If you continue to experience problems with this you should try removing this code to see if the problem is relating to what you are doing here.

Thanks Eric, but we haven't still resolved. First, I have pasted your code and nothing is changed.
Second, I have removed those lines and now I get another error:
Warning: session_regenerate_id() [function.session-regenerate-id]: Cannot regenerate session id - headers already sent in D:\atpz.it\atpz.it\atpz_area_Cliente_checkout_success.php on line 305
PHP Warning: session_regenerate_id() [function.session-regenerate-id]: Cannot regenerate session id - headers already sent in D:\atpz.it\atpz.it\atpz_area_Cliente_checkout_success.php on line 305, regarding the function:

305 session_regenerate_id();

php:
</html>
<?php

// Initialize the session.
// If you are using session_name("something"), don't forget it now!
session_start();

//store the user session
$userSession $_SESSION['var_CL_ID'];
$nomeSession $_SESSION['var_CL_Nominativo'];
$mailSession $_SESSION['var_CL_Un_Email'];
$privSession $_SESSION['var_CL_Priv'];

// Unset all of the session variables.
$_SESSION = array();

// If it's desired to kill the session, also delete the session cookie.

//}

// Finally, destroy the session.
session_destroy();
unset(
$_SESSION);
session_regenerate_id();

//reset user session

$_SESSION['var_CL_ID'] = $userSession;

Regarding the line 194, it's a mystery. The page is that.
Have we to consider the files included?

I have tried to removing the line:
305 session_regenerate_id();

I didn't get error but session variables did not regenerate.

What do you advise me?

Thanks again

Please post back with the latest implementation of the page and I will do some testing with your code to help determine at what point the session is not working so I can try to help you resolve the problem.
