merging database

Hi

no doubt a silly question but...

I bought the user registration pack as a kick start and it works very well. I now would like tom include a CMS and I'm considering the power cms.

Question 1. Can I merge the two databases ?

question 2. How?

thanks

Ian

The .SQL Scripts that come with UserRegistration Solution Pack and Power CMS contain only create Table Statements. They do not create the database.

When you run the SQL Scripts, you must first Select the database they will be run against.

You can select the same DB for both to have the tables for both merged into the same database.

Just a Note:
The Admin username and password for PowerCMS is set tin the PowerCMS Globals file, it is not configured to use a DB for admin access.

Update

Thanks for that, I'm using these as a learning curve ;-)

Your note "The Admin username and password for PowerCMS is set tin the PowerCMS Globals file, it is not configured to use a DB for admin access"

Should this be an issue for me? Does it matter that the username etc is not controlled by the database?

thanks for the assist

I added that note in case you where intending to use the User Registration solution pack to offer access to the PowerCMS admin pages. You wont be able to do that.
