Ability to specify installation folder for extension files

I touched on this in a previous post, but though I would create a thread here in the wishlist for it.

At the moment all extentions place their files in folders at the website root (i.e /WA_SecurityAssist/).
Once you start using a few extensions these folder start to build up. It's never particularly messy but is a significant issue to me as I often share development with other designers on projects. I would much prefer for the directory structure to be kept more neat and the code I use to be a bit more anonymous.

Sooo... ideally I would like to specify a folder for all WA files to go (i.e /includes/) and to be able to decide the name of the individual extension folders (i.e /includes/SA/ for security assist).

This would be REALLY beneficial to me!

When you use dreamweavers built in spry validation tools you can specify where spry files install to (in the site properties panel). So something like that.

Can you let me know if this will be considered? Would it be hard to implement?

I would assume that changing the installation folder for specific extension files would be pretty straight forward, but my assumptions have been plenty wrong in the past :).

It would be GREAT to be allowed this flexibility. I appreciate there maybe branding reasons for wanting 'WA_' to proceed the directory names and have them at the root, but doing it this way puts me off using the extensions on team-based projects quite a lot.

I'm going to fully agree with Phil on this one! I hate having all these folders piling up in root. I would prefer they sat under the folder "includes". This makes it much easier when working with other developers/designers.

If you absolutely need to hard code where they go - I vote they go under "/includes/WA_xxxxxxx", but Phils idea is better. Give us the option of where to put them.
