The Site Sculptor site must be created at the Root of the _Dreamweaver_ site
after created, you can upload it to a subfolder of your Remote Site.
Hi Jason....thanks for the quick response.....I created the site on root ...then I created a folder on root and proceeded to copy the new folders and files to new folder....this was done in Dreamweaver to preseve link structure....all links appear to work other than the links from index page...I think I have done this correctly....I really to be able to create multiple sites and need to be able to have seperate folders to do this....any help would be appreciated .....thanks in advance....Tim
you must create a separate Dreamweaver Site For each Site Sculptor Site. do not copy the pages into a sub folder after the site is created.
Each Site Sculptor site must at the Root of a Dreamweaver Site.
Thanks Jason...what you are saying is that I have to define a site in Dreamweaver in order for this to work...correct?...I just want to be clear on this....thanks again
Hi Jason....disregard the last reply....I tried defning the site first and that did the trick....thanks again fir the great support...have a great weekend...Tim
Hi Jason...I cannot get the content managenent feature to work...I have Windows server and a Linux Apache server and both are properly configured with php and mysql installed... there is a 4 step process and I get through step one but on the database screen it will not connect to the mysql database....I am stumped on this....without the content management feature working it makes management of pages pretty useless....any ideas would be appreciated....thanks
does it show an error message when trying to make the connection?
If so, what is the error?
Please provide details on what is occurring when it tries to connect to the mysql server.
Hi Jason....it gives the following eror message"ERROR: Could not connect to the MySQL database. Please verify the server, username, and password are correct."....the database field is gray...the other three are red....I have installed Navicat for MYSQL and I am able to connect to the database with no problems....I have used the ip address for host name as well as the full server address (http) and still no luck....I am sure the server is configured properly as I am able to connect via Navicat .....thanks for the quick tur around on this....Tim
does the Root User have a password set? The install script is intended for use on a live server and requires that a password be entered.
If your root user does not have a password set, you will need to set one.
