PowerCMS2 - Known Issue / Solution For Developer Notes causing PHP Errors

For some users, the developer notes are not being created properly.

They are created as:

We have identified a fix for this issue. Log in and visit the Download Center. Click on PowerCMS 2; then click on the Known Issues section. Download the related zip file and follow the instructions in the readme file.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled with the new file and i still get the incorrect code. What am i doing wrong?

the issue is that some Apache servers will treat files with .php anywhere in the file as php.

So the lighter.php.js file is being processed by the php engine instead of being treated as a js file.

the work around is to set the handler mapping in Apache to only process a file as php if it ends in .php.

Right, I've spoken to my hosting company and that is something they are not willing to do on the server, is there a way of mr implementing this via a php.ini file, failing that I will have to revert back to version 1 of Power CMS

basically it involves changing the name of the js/lighter/fuel.php.js file to fuelphp.js, then using the Dreamweaver find function to find all references in the code to fuel.php.js to fuelphp.js
