Cross Check

I set up a secure area on a web site using the Users Registration extension package. This organization has 70,000 members and they want to control who accesses this area on the web.

The director says he has all the members in a database - is there any way I can control who registers for the site by cross checking the database with the members in?

Thank You

If you would like access to this area I am working on please email me.

you would need to add a recordset on the registration page to query the members table with the email address entered in the registration form.

You then add a server redirect behavior and set the trigger to redirect if the record set is not empty.

you just need to create a simple recordset that is filtered by a form value.

the Dreamweaver recordset interface will help you with this. For more details, click the help button in the recrodset dialog box.

Once the recordset has been created, go to the server behaviors panel, click the plus button and select Webassist utilities -> Server redirect. from the trigger select list select the recordset Empty trigger.

I'll Give it a Try

Once I get the darabase from them - they are telling me I can either have it exported into Excel which i can put into access - will this be ok?

Or do you think it should be in an mysql database

Thank You
