Instead, try this: - in your webassist/ckeditor/config.js file, add a line:

CKEDITOR.editorConfig = function( config )
{

config.enterMode = CKEDITOR.ENTER_BR;

This should change the default 'Enter' mode to <br> rather than <p>.
