PHP Memory Error

Hi all,

I've read through all the various posts on this subject but still haven't found a solution to this. Can anyone help?

I've used DFP and DA to create an image gallery. All works fine on my test server but my live server (1and1 Internet) keeps throwing up

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 32768000) (tried to allocate 14976 bytes) in /homepages/46/d260871619/htdocs/WA_DigitalFilePro/HelperPHP.php5 on line 845.

I added

<?php ini_set('memory_limit','512M'); ?>

to both my Insert page and WA_DigitalFilePro/HelperPHP.php5 page as suggested in a couple of posts here but still no joy.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

With thanks

Phil

the code you added to increase the memory limit should fix the problem, if it is not fixing the problem, there are 2 possibilities:

1) The code is not being uploaded to the server properly.

2) The host does not allow you to increase the memory limit.

to check to see if the memory limit setting is being changed, you can add the following in the body of your page:

Memory Limit: <?php echo(ini_get('memory_limit')); ?>

This will write the memory limit setting to the screen.
