Problem Level 2 Menue

If I change the width of level 1 menue than the level 2 menue stays at its old position and does not move. If I change the position manually in the css style sheet (ul#cssmw ul.level-2 (left: xy px) than it works but my manually changes are lost if I make changes over the menue edit button afterwards.

So how can I change the position of level 2 menue?

Thank you again.

What is the type of menu you are working with and how did you make the change to the width of the level one menu?

You should be able to account for any changes in the sizes by adjusting the margins and padding if you need to. In a quick test of a menu I just changed the width of the level one items and the level two seemed to be correctly positioned. Do you have a link where this can be seen also? Please post back with the details about the menu and any other info that you think would be helpful and we will try to help you get it working properly from within the interface.

Here is the sample:

test.html (GEMA-freie Musik - Angebot).
I changed the width of main, level 1 and level 2 by "edit theme" and then "item".

Thank you.

To control this you can edit the menu with the edit theme button from the property inspector. In here select the level two then go into the margin setting. In here you can just set the value for the left margin to get this same effect.

I changed the margins and paddings for level 1 and level 2 to 0, same result.

Can you see the changes you have made to the margin in the css file where you were making the change manually before? If you ensure that the margin is set the same as you did manually you should have the same effect. Also, you may want to try using a negative value to see if you can get it worked out better that way.

Yes, I can see the changes in the css file - but only after a while, when dreamweaver says that the css file was modified outside and asks to reolad the file.

I changed the margins to a negative value - and that works :-)
But is this really the way it should work?

If a negative margin makes it rite for you then it seems ok to me, but you may need to do this because of another setting that you have. If you can, please post back and include the steps you took to implement your menu that was giving you the bad settings. I can review the steps to see if the problem occurred as a result.

In regards to the css changes, the wizard is updating the css properly for you correct?
