Admin log-in failure

Thread began 2/08/2010 4:30 pm by beemerrider280362 | Last modified 3/05/2010 1:09 pm by Eric Mittman | 4660 views | 24 replies |

Admin log-in failure

I just upgraded from version 2 to version 3 powerstore. I ran the script for updating the database and all of my inventory transferred fine. The front end displays as expected. But I cannot log into the back end. I checked in the database and the table wa_settings shows my username and password that I entered during the install. Yet when I use that username and password to log-into the admin area, it fails.
The ID's (line #) are 73 and 74 and the field names are admin_username and admin_password. So I'm pretty sure I have the correct table and field names.

The resulting URL after attempted log-in is: index.php?accesscheck=%2FAdmin%2Fhome.php

From what you have described it seems that the username and password are correctly set in the db. As a test of this you can put the attached file into your admin area and browse to it. You should only run this test locally, this file should not be uploaded to a live server since it will tell whoever looks at it the username and password for the admin area.

Please give this a try to see if the values match what you have in your db. Let us know how it works for you.

Values match

Yes the values match what is in the database. I tried logging in by copying and pasting the username and password just to verify my typing skills and still could not get in.

I am having this exact issue. I downloaded the file and the username and password are correct. but it will not let me in. Out of curiosity, where are the username and password stored?

I scrapped everything and started all over again and I am still getting the same reqults. The login is not working.

I am only testing out powerstore3, but you can access it here:

You should check the db to see if things match up there. In the db you will find this under the wa_settings table, in the name column look for admin_username and admin_password, then check the value column for these two records.

One other thing you can try is to use another browser to see if you are having a problem based on the browser.

Post back and let us know what the result is, if we need to open a ticket I can do that.

I see it in there and it looks like the username and password are in the database. I tried the admin in IE and firefox and both fail on the login

Login failure

I am having the same problem. Double checked the login info in wasettings table.... everything matches but I cannot log in.
By the way... the self installation feature ROCKS!... if everything else works like the docs say it should this will be the best $150 I have spent all year thus far...
Thanks WA
