Recent Updates

A few day ago I purchased the Design Suite and an trying to find some updated documentation that helps to use some of the extensions. I am finding that in reading the documentation many of the steps are not in sync with the current UI for the specific extension in question like Adding Custom divs using CSS Sculptor version 3

Your Recent Updates area is far from being current -- this makes it very difficult to properly learn how to use the extensions quickly --- in fact the process of learning is is fact somewhat painful.

I am also finding that the authors of the documentation take far too much for granted and miss some important steps.

Sorry you are having issues with our documentation/products. We are working hard to fill in the gaps that customers are experiencing, but with the number of products we are having to support, things do sometimes fall through the cracks. We are confident that we are heading in the right direction, and you should experience less issues in the future.

If you haven't seen this already, you may get some ideas on how you can use all the products in your suite from the Web Dev Workflow here. web-dev-workflow.php.

In regards to the How to Adding Custom divs using CSS Sculptor tutorial, this was written for CSS Sculptor 2 and is listed under Archived Documentation for this reason. The concept is the same, but like you said, the UI and process is somewhat different.

If you have specific issues in accomplishing something, create a new thread on the forums to get help in accomplishing the task. There are a lot of people on the forums answering questions, including our Support Staff, and you should get help pretty quickly.

I've noticed that some of the tutorials are using DW CS3, and the location of certain menu items or toolbars aren't in the same place as in CS4. But once I figured that out, there were no other inconsistencies that I noticed.
