PowerStore 3 and the UK

Sorry for the novice question firstly.

I've just been sent an email about the new Powerstore 3 and I've watched the video demo. Can the product be used in the UK and UK based payment gateways etc. It's obviously geared towards the US but was wondering if it can be tailored for the UK whether its currency, delivery, taxes etc.

Thanks.

I believe you can change PS to work in the UK - I remember seeing a sticky about this for PS2 a while back. Have a look through threads to see if this still applies. I'm guessing there shouldn't be a problem.

But before you buy PS3, do check this thread too so you don't get caught out with some Hosts:

showthread.php?t=9937

If you upgrade and don't get a problem with your host, can you add the name of the Host to the list so others don't run into problems?

Hello - just found this:

So, good news, it does look possible.

Thank you. The Hosts issue is a blinder and certainly one to keep up to date with. In terms of host then, if I'm on a shared host, is the question I should be asking - "do I have admin access to any MySQL databases I set up?"

Thanks again.

From what I can understand from the responses here, it looks like 'shared host' doesn't work with PS3 if you want to run the installation wizard.

Another thread reply stated WA are now going to put a message up on the PS3 page to indicate this. Let's hope it's very visible and not buried. I would suggest it's the first line of the main PS3 page (with any further esoteric problems), so that other users can email their host company first to ask them specific questions before purchase of PS3.
