Paypal and ECart5

I am having trouble connecting my cart to Paypal payment page. Here are the instructions from PAYPAL. I just spent the morning on the phone with them. Per Paypal's website, Web Assist ECart is a compatable 3rd party shopping cart. Paypal says in step (3) below to go to instructions on Web Assist website. Where are these instructions???????

"B. Use a shopping cart compatible with Website Payments Standard.Use Website Payments Standard with hundreds of compatible shopping carts. You’ll get up and running quickly.

To get started:
1.Sign up for a Premier or Business account if you don't already have one.
2.Select a third-party shopping cart that is pre-integrated with Website Payments Standard.
3.Follow the instructions on your shopping cart provider’s website for using Website Payments Standard as your payment processing solution.
Next steps (optional):
1.Customize your buyer payment pages.
2.Test your integration in the PayPal testing environment."

The getting started guide walks through using the checkout wizard to create the eCart checkout pages:
ecart_gsg.php

For PayPal Standard, you will only need to enter you merchant ID. The member ID is the only PayPal specific setting in the checkout wizard for Payments standard.

What is the nature of the trouble you are having?
Does the checkout process go to the checkout failure page?

if so, take a look at the "Debugging eCart transaction failed issues" tutorial in the eCart Tutorials section of the eCart support page:

Checkout wizard is NOT generating Web Payment Standard correctly!!!

Jason,

We went through the getting started guide. The wizard is pretty self explanatory. We entered our merchant ID in the Member ID field.

To answer your question, the eCart checkout has two buttons: "Check out with Payball" or "Checkout". We do not go to the checkout failure page for the "Checkout" button, we are navigated to the Confirm.php, then when selecting the "Submit Order" button, we are navigated to the paypal homepage. Only if I press the "Checkout With Paypal" button then I am passed to the failure page....which makes sense, because we did not set up any API credentials because we are not interested in using the Express Checkout option.

I was on the phone with PayPal again today, and they looked at our website and said that the wizard did NOT generate the Web Payment Standard code and that is why we are being navigated to the PayPal homepage. I too, looked at the code and only see PP_ECO, and the Checkout form wrapper says "checkout_PP_LI_Hid".

I don't understand why when I select the remote option (Web Payment Standard), the wizard isn't generating the correct code?!?!? Or the proper workflow of php pages that I'm expecting?!?!?!?

We were supposed to be live on Feb 1st, and we're desperately trying to get our checkout process up and running!!!

Link per your request

Go to www.uwannabea.com
From the index page, select the Novelty button (yellow).
Select the swimsuit model pic.
Enter a project name, you can skip the color choices, and a valid email address, then Submit. On next page, select Continue. On next page, select Traditional Mail radio button, and the Certify checkbox, then Submit. On next page, select Submit. On next page, select Add to Cart. On next page, you can select another Add to Cart button or the View Cart (purple button upper right hand corner) to go to our Cart.

Haven't done any modifications to the generated pages from the Checkout wizard.

Thanks!

The problem is the bussiness id that you entered. The business id is the email address you used to register for paypal payments standard with.

On the confirnm page, find the following:
<input type="hidden" name="business" id="business" value="" />

and set the value to the business email address.

Changing Merchant ID to Email address

We've tested the checkout wizard with various entries in the Member ID field....our email address being one.

I've changed it back to our email address, please try again!

You must use the email address you use to log into your paypal business account.

I have tested your page using the webassist demo account and it directs to the paypal cart correctly.

The email address that we filled into the Member ID field of the checkout wizard IS the one we use to login to paypal with.

When I select the link you provided it opens up Microsoft Outlook and becomes the TO address. It doesn't open a demo.
