Success redirect to a dynamic data page

How do I set "successRedirect" to go to a dynamic data page tied to an id?

agent_Listings.php?id=

I have a list of real estate clients all with different listings. I need to give them access to only their list of properties tied to their id in the database. I'm using dataAssits and SecurityAssist.

Thanks

I assume they're logging in to some sort of admin area.

I would use their unique session ID (that was created at login) and filter the recordset of properties with that.

This way they only get their own properties and you don't have to use a parameter in the url.

Hi Les,

Thank you for the information but I'm not clear on how I would "filter the recordset of properties" with the session id? Could you elaborate or provide a MySQL statement example.

Thanks, Bob

In the Authenticate User server behavior you should be storing the UserID in a session variable.

Once you have done this on any page that a user is viewing records that you would like to restrict to only that user you could do so by filtering the recordset.

All you have to do is edit the recordset in DW, at the bottom of the interface is the filter options. Just select to filter on the UserID column and specify a session variable and put in the name for your session variable that holds the UserID.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the info. I have not used session ID before and am still having problems making it work. Is there a tutorial for this task?

Thanks, Bob

You should take a look at the support page for Security Assist and have a look at the getting started guide, solution recipes, and how to's to get a better idea of how the tool works for this type of thing.

In the SecurityAssist Authenticate User server behavior on the login page you can configure session variables to be set on the final step. In this final step of the server behavior you can add a session variable for any columns in your users table. This can be very useful if you want to store the userid, username, or email address in a session variable, then you can use these values on any page you want.
