Multiple coupon code dynamic or static

My client wants to add multiple coupon code, so that he can analysis how much sales he get from which coupon code, as every code belongs to one seller group

Hope you understand this, which method is best, static or dynamic for more than one coupon, he wants only one textbox for input of coupon code

If you are looking to have a few coupons, and you are not planning to change them, then you can do static, but if you have a lot of coupons and you plan to update them often, then dynamic coupons should be used.
