Password Encryption

If you enable password encryption on both the registration and log in page after you have a number of users in your database that have non encrypted password will they still be able to login?

No, after you enable encryption, users who register before will not be able to log in.

You would have to encrypt the current users' passwords. You could fix that with SQL in your database manager:

UPDATE Table SET PasswordColumn = md5(PasswordColumn)

That way all of your current user passwords will be encrypted as well... (be careful not to do it twice)
