CSS Form Builder - Use Same Templates On Multiple Computers

Thread began 1/22/2010 11:56 pm by dlovas275157 | Last modified 1/24/2010 12:39 pm by dlovas275157 | 1863 views | 2 replies |

CSS Form Builder - Use Same Templates On Multiple Computers

I work between two different Macs (one at home, one at work). At work I created css form builder templates and saved them in the CSS Form Builder Drop-Downs for future use.

Where does WA CSS Form Builder save these on the harddrive (config folder)? and is it possible to copy them to my 2nd computer so I can access my CSS Form Builder Templates at home as well as at work?

Which files do i copy? and is this the recommended procedure for working between multiple computers?

I searched the support docs and gsg guides but did not find any related info.

Thanks for any advice.

Mac OSX 10.5.8
Dreamweaver CS 3

Hiya DL,

The simplest and best way is - assuming you have saved your choices as presets (you can always go back in and do that) - is to export and import them:

Insert > WebAssist > Preset Manager

Choose the product (CSS Form Builder) > Choose one or more of your saved presets > Export.

This saves them to your machine as a zip file which you can then put on your other machine and import using the same process (import).

The Preset Manager worked great.

Now I keep a folder of the latest templates I use exported to a folder on my portable drive, so where-ever I am I can import my latest templates and use them.

Thanks for the help.
