hi,
can anyone guide me how to display username after login?
You set the display name as a session value which can then be displayed on a page once a user has logged in. First check on your login page to see if the display name is already set as a session value - it will look something like this:
$Authenticate->storeResult("display_name", "Display_Name");
If it isn't already set, you can add it by double-clicking on the User Login Server Behavior in the Server Behaviors panel, then on the Store Values tab select the database column that contains the name (i.e. might be 'UserFirstName' if you've used WebAssist SecurityAssist to set up the login database tables) then give it a name in "Save in Session As", i.e. FirstName. Click OK, save and upload the login page.
Now when someone logs in, it will store the value in UserFirstName column as a session value "FirstName" which you will find in the Bindings panel under Session. You can drag this value onto the page where you want the name to appear, or select it and click the Insert button. It will look like this:
<?php echo $_SESSION['FirstName']; ?>
If your database has the first name and last name in different fields and you want to display the full name, just set a session value for the last name as well, then drag both session values onto the page.
