Thank you for continuing this forum!

I just want to say thank you to those keeping this forum up. I was able to go through a few posts and find an answer that worked for CMS Builder. I was getting lines and lines of error messages when trying to upload a file. This has never happened before. I found a comment from Ray about similar errors, saying to turn off errors in the init file or code. I found it in index.php in kcfinder.. Set display_errors to 0. Lines and lines of error code - gone.
Thank you,
Laura

This happened again with another site

Is anyone experiencing this problem with all the deprecated errors when trying to upload a file with kcfinder?

Check you don't have error reporting code on the page - deprecated warnings are only warnings and won't affect the way the site works at the moment, but at some point in the future if the PHP version is upgraded they will.

For now, remove any code that looks like this and error messages will disappear:

<?php
error_reporting(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors','on');
?>

Thank you Mags. That is what I did for both sites now. I left the code but changed 1 to 0. It worked fine but I was worried that was just a temporary fix.
What is everyone doing for the future? I'd love to find a CMS that is similar to this. One that can be added to my Dreamweaver sites. I really don't want to go to Wordpress or any of those systems.
Thank you,
Laura

Sadly I think Dreamweaver is also coming to its end-of-life - Adobe aren't releasing any more updates, just security patches. I have started using Wordpress on a few sites, along with the Divi theme which is very easy to work with. Wordpress isn't the nightmare it used to be, but I do still find it a bit slow as the code is very bloated. Most people who used to use Dreamweaver have moved over to Wappler I think - I do have a subscription for it and can use it on static websites, but haven't quite mastered the dynamic side of things yet, mainly because I don't have time to really study it. I also find it difficult to locate up-to-date online training for it as a lot of the video courses use much older versions of the software. I haven't yet found a CMS that's equivalent to PowerCMS and DataAssist. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be glad to hear them!

I'd definitely like to see ideas if anyone has any on alternatives to replace PowerCMS. I make very simple sites in Dreamweaver for small towns/villages. User friendly left/vertical nav for their residents. I can control what pages and even sections of pages town/village clerks can update. It works great for them to update agendas and minutes but not have to take care of every page. I'll get by as long as I can with my current setup but I'm always a little bit worried something is going to blow up on me and I will have a stressful mess on my hands!
Thank you!
