Export a preset

Hi,

I want to export my CSS Menu Writter presets.

So I open the preset manager (insertion...webassist...Preset Manager)

I choose CSS Menu Writter - Menu Themes...And then I click on the theme I want to export.
I then click on the tab "export on the right" , choose a name and a location for the zip exported file...

But nothing happens...With my file, with WA files...And I tried to export on many different locations (in case...).

Where am I wrong ?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Bruno

This is the correct process for exporting your theme. Are you able to export any of the default themes or any of the menu contents?

No, I cannot export any of the default themes or any of the menu contents.

Neither in Dynamic webcharts section
Neither in Eric Meyer's CSS Sculptor section
Neither in CSS Form buider...CSS menu Writer

Norin Site Assist Professional

Note : there is no latence when I click on the tabs "Export", "Save" or "Done"...Is that normal ?

All my software are genuine ones. I use : Dreamweaver CS3, WINRAR 3.91.

I run under Windows XP pro. SP3

What is the build number of your CS3? You can check this by going to the about Dreamweaver under the Help menu.

I've done some testing and I haven't been able to reproduce your issue. Do you have any other products that you can try exporting layouts for?

I have no problem to export . I did it with :

- Fireworks CS4
- Outlook2007
- personalBrain

So, Is there another way like maybe copying manually (not using WA preset manager) to have the same final result ?

Or better > what should I do to make it work normaly?

Thank you for your help in advance ( I pray my compurter is not out of order ).

To export the CSS Menu Writer Themes, you would have to go to this directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\<Your User Name>\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver 9\Configuration\Shared\WebAssist\CSSMenuWriter\presets

You would have to find the directory for the preset you want to export as well as the xml file pertaining to that preset.

Then you would want to zip up the two as well as the wa.xml file that I will attach to this ticket. Make sure you extract the wa.xml from the wa.xml.zip before including it in the preset export.

So the contents of the zip for your preset will be:
directory with preset name
xml with preset name
wa.xml

Attached Files
wa.xml.zip
