First looks

Took about 16 minutes to upload.

Ran install, everything passed except permissions. Changed folder from 755 to 777. Everything passed.

At step 2, got this:

ERROR: Database could not be created.

CREATE VIEW command denied to user 'admin'@'localhost' for table 'ps3_coupondelete'

I checked and all tables were successfully created.

This error message is misleading as the database was created before I started the installation.

After clicking Next Step, the install program crashed to standard unformated error page with Fatal error: Access denied

Connections/PowerStoreConnection.php
on line 9

BTW the user has all rights to the DB.

Checked the PowerStoreConnection.php file and everything matches what I used for the DB.

Just checked the user account with Navicat and found that selecting all in the cPanel Create User wizard did not give the user Create View privileges. I gave it the extra privileges through Navicat but I'm unable to rerun the install wizards.

I tried to delete the Connections folder but got a Permission denied error. Still looking for a way to start over.

Logged in as root and was able to delete the Connection file. This allowed me to rerun the installation wizard. This time step 2 went straight to the error page. The address bar has 3.php. Same access denied error. Don't know where to go from here.

This is going to be a real problem for people that don't have root access.

Hi Office-Guy, nice catch on this one.

I have made the engineering team aware of the issue and we'll be adding a check to verify the user has Create View privileges, and if not, a more useful error will be given.

As for restarting the Installation Wizard, you have to delete the Connections folder ( which you know ), also delete the tables in the database, and try restarting your browser or clearing its cache. That should fully reset the Installation Wizard.

Let me know if there is any more trouble.

I deleted all of the tables and the connection folder and was able to get the wizard started again but I can't get past the access denied error on 3.php.

I'm deleting everything and starting completely from scratch now. I'll let you know how that goes.
