3D Secure PayPal Pro UK

So, Web Assist, any chance of supporting the UK clients?
I've just purchased the upgrade to eCart, v5, and well it's fine but no support for the required 3D secure technology.
Can we expect this to happen?
Cardinal Commerce is waiting for you to update you app apparently, well that's what they said to me, so they won't send out any info to me until you do. To quote...

"PayPal is currently working with your shopping cart in order to add this functionality for their merchants. We have flagged your account with your shopping cart so once these programs are available, we will notify you with instructions ASAP."

This is becoming an issue as the 21st is very close!

I've notice someone on the forum selling a solution but that seems a bit crazy, pay for a plugging to do all the hard work for you then pay for a solution to actually get it to work, seems a bit wrong.

Would really appreciate any news/advice/tips on this issue.

This is something we are looking into along with adding support for other payment methods such as Google checkout, payments by Amazon and Royal Mail, but we will not be able to have this implemented by the 21st.

This change by PayPal will only effect Maestro cards. Visa, Mastercard etc. will still work.

Looking in to...

Thanks for the reply and I don't wan to sound rude but Maestro is a very big deal over here in the UK and looking into sounds very noncommittal.

I like the idea your looking in to adding other gateways too but can I humbly suggest you concentrate on the gateways on the list already. Pay Pal UK.

Can you give me some kind of time frame?

Also your latest version of eCart 5, that I just purchased, as I hoped it would have more support for Pay Pal UK, specifically with debit cards (mainly Secure 3D), doesn't even have Maestro as an option but has Switch (which is discontinued and now Maestro, since 2002), why?

I really don't want to come across rude, I'm just frustrated. I just want answers. I want the product I've purchased to make creating e-com pages to be what it's advertised as, simple.

This is my own work and not part of the WA package but integrates into the PHP eCart checkout process for a demo and cost please contact me direct.

We are in contact with both Cardinal Commerce and PayPal to look into implementing this. I do not have a concrete date for when an update addresses this issue will become available, but it is something we are investigating. This is not a noncomittal answer, we are in the first stages which entails doing the research. Once the research has been completed we can move on and start implementing a solution.

Realistically, a solution will not be available by the 21st, but as soon as we do have one, we will make an announcement.

Hi

I have done all the code required, i will post on monday if all goes well as i just need to test and make sure all works well.

Remember you need to make sure you have registed with cardinal via paypal to ensure you can use 3D Secure + get the sandbox setup so you can test cardinal 3D Secure in a testing or sandbox environment.

WebAssist might beat me, or i am sure my solution will tide you over till WebAssist release their version, remember they have more red tape to go through, thus upping the time it takes them.

Hi

Said i would post my code, but at the moment it does not work 100% correct, so i will post (if anyone is interested) when i have sorted it out woth Cardinal Support.

Error i am getting is the card is processed, and cash is taken, but a multiple transaction is placed causing duplicate order and the bank returning a decline code.

Is webassist any nearer to completeing there version as it would be great to have a premade solution that works as 40% of my orders are Maestro.
