Vertical Menu Jogs to left

Vertical Menu Jogs to left

Hi,

I build a Vertical CSS menu writer..

What I have happening is when viewed in compatability mode...
The leftColumn1 (which is holding my CSS menu) moves to the absolute left, and this only happens when I put my curser on the page itself.
When the page is refreshed...it looks fine.
But once the curser is out of the address bar area,...the leftColumn1 (CSS menu) jogs to the left 15 or more pxs.

Here is my CSS code for that area:
#outerWrapper #contentWrapper #leftColumn1 {
background-color: #000000;
color: #FFFFFF;
float: left;
font-family: Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 12px;
font-style: normal;
font-weight: normal;
line-height: normal;
padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px; / text-decoration: none;
width: 135px;
display: inline;
margin-left: 15px;
}

I have attached my menu writer ie css.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

p.s.
I am working in CS3, xp

I think the css problem is likely to be with the menu unordered list css, rather that with the leftcolums1 div css.

Not sure, but look at your:

ul#cssmw1 li {
background-image: none;
padding: 0 0 0 0;
position: relative;
white-space: nowrap;
z-index: 99999;
position: relative;

}

Try removing the first 'position: relative;' property (you have two!) , test your page, and then try removing the second one.

Otherwise, if you could upload your menu temporarily and provide a link to it, it would be easier to investigate.
