DFP won't Start, Tried Deleting Cache

I've just done a clean install of Windows 7, and upon installing Adobe CS3 and the WebAssist Extensions.

DFP 1.1.3 won't start, I haven't been able to verify it as Dreamweaver throws up an error (See Image Below)

all other extensions have installed, verified, and are fully working.

I have tried deleting the WinCache file to no avail.

is this an issue with windows 7? as it has previously worked on XP and Vista

Any help would be much appreciated

Thank You

It would seem that there is a corruption of the configuration folder if you have deleted the cache file and still get this error message. When you installed the extension were you prompted to overwrite any existing files? You should always choose yes to all for this.

If your configuration folder is corrupt then you will need to rename it to undo the corruption, here is a link to a post that covers the steps you will need to take for this:

The paths will match what is listed for Windows Vista. Please give this a try and let us know if you continue to experience this problem.

Still not working

Thank You for your response...

I've taken the steps in the post that you directed me too, but Digital File Pro is still not starting, like before all the other extensions are working perfectly.

I clicked on "Yes to All" when installing the extensions as I did on XP and Vista.

Would reinstalling Dreamweaver help?

Any further help will be much appreciated

Thank You

See if anything here helps before you reinstall DW:

Don't forget to delete the cache file after installing any extensions to make sure it updates properly. This is a recommendation from Adobe.

Thank for your reply

I've tried the steps at the link you provided (146/)

but it's still not working, I've tried re-downloading the extension but this has the same effect.

I've reinstalled Dreamweaver from scratch, but the issue is still occuring!

All other extensions are working fine as before

Any help would be much appreciated

Thank You

Just for elimination purposes DFP 2 works fine with Widows 7 but I haven't tried it with DFP 1

I have done a test of this with DFP 1.1.3 in Windows 7 with DW CS3. I was able to use both the upload and download server behaviors without issue. Activating the extension was not a problem either.

I'm curious if there is something else that might be wrong here. What is the build of DW CS3 that you are working with? This info can be found under Help > About by clicking on the scrolling text, you will need to have build 3481 at least.

Also do you have any non WebAssist extensions installed? If you have a tool like the ADDT or another upload or download extension it could be interfering. Please post back with these details so that we can determine how to proceed.

It was a fresh install of Adobe CS3 Web Premium, the Build is indeed 3481.

I don't have any non webassist extensions installed

If I'm the only one experiencing this issue, then it is obvious that it is something wrong with my system, but i can't see what. All I've done is a fresh install of everything...

Thank you for all your support so far, hopefully this issue will be sorted soon...
