I have heard of problems like this not being resolved by removing the cache file the first time. Please try this again and restart the machine afterwards, if this does not work for you try moving on to the next thing on the page listed by renaming the configuration folder. Here is another link to a post on the forum that covers these steps, they are also listed in the link that was provided in the first response.

OK that worked for the editor once i renamed the folder but now if i add my style sheet into the contents_update.php file and don't save as a preset the codiing changes from:

<?php
// WebAssist iRite: Rich Text Editor for Dreamweaver
$WARichTextEditor_1 = CreateRichTextEditor ("ContentValue", "../HTMLEditor/", "713px", "400px", "Custom", "../custom/contents_update_ContentValue1.js", "".($totalRows_HistoryUpdate > 0)?$row_HistoryUpdate['HistoryValue']:$row_WADAContents['ContentValue'] ."");
?>
\
to

<?php
// WebAssist iRite: Rich Text Editor for Dreamweaver
$WARichTextEditor_1 = CreateRichTextEditor ("ContentValue", "../HTMLEditor/", "713px", "400px", "Custom", "../custom/contents_update_ContentValue1.js", "\".($totalRows_HistoryUpdate > 0)?$row_HistoryUpdate['HistoryValue']:$row_WADAContents['ContentValue'] .\"");
?>

and stops it from working i can edit the two \ out so it works but my stylesheet is not added if i save as a preset then when i go to edit the text i had in a page it has gone and again my style sheet has not been added.
Also the following error now occurs (see attached)
Thanks Alistair

It seems like there are two separate issues here. The first is that there are the extra slashes present in the editor code that is on the page.

The second is that it is not retaining your style sheet preference. I would like to look into these issues further with you. Please post back and include the steps that you are taking when you apply this editor to the page and when applying your style sheet. I will do as you are doing so that I can see the same result and help to determine what the problem is and how to resolve it. Please also include info about your OS and DW version.

I have done some testing on my regular pc and on the PowerPC 10.5 and get the same result. When I do as you have stated I'm able to get the styles loaded for the editor and I do not have the problem with the additional slashes in the editor code.

I have opened a ticket for you on this issue, to check the status or update the ticket login to WebAssist.com and visit your support history.
