Problem on server

Hi - have installed Power CMS and working fine on local machine - but when I upload to webserver I get:

Warning: mysql_pconnect() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/madhouse/public_html/clients/ascot/cms/Connections/localhost.php on line 9

Fatal error: in /home/madhouse/public_html/clients/ascot/cms/Connections/localhost.php on line 9

Now I cannot find anything in the documentation about this line? What should it be other than the default:
$localhost = mysql_pconnect($hostname_localhost, $username_localhost, $password_localhost) or trigger_error(mysql_error(),E_USER_ERROR);

Any ideas??

Hi Jim

Try changing 'mysql_pconnect' to 'mysql_connect' in the localhost.php file, see if that does it.

Thanks muchly,

Actually I'm not good. I had the problem with a hosting provider and server admin considered pconnect - 'pesistant' connection - to be a security risk.

Did look good for a minute though, didn't I?
