Reguired Fields

I just used the wizard to create a set of files including the registration page. For some reason it is requiring "gender" for example as a requires field and I have it set as hidden! I may use it later.

Where can a refine the required fields?

Security assist will not add any validation to the registration form, so it must be the way your users table is created. In the database, double check the users table to see if the Gender column is set to not allow nulls.

Re Required Fields with Security Assist

I hate to jump in here and elaborate on this question, but, I have just used SA and created the 5 pages, members_EmailPW, members_LogIn, members_LogOut, members_Profile, and the members_Registration pages.

I was originally thinking that SA would add validation and required fields to the forms/pages only to find out I was wrong. So the question I have now is, am I suppose to use the Validation Toolkit to validate and require the form fields? Or can I open these forms that were created with SA in CSS Form Builder and only add validation and required fields.

Again, sorry if I should have started a new thread, but this is very close to my question. I do also have one more nagging question about SA, but I will start a new thread for that. I do appreciate any and all help on this subject.

Yes, you will need to use Validation toolkit to add validation to the forms created by Security Assist.

Thank you Jason for your prompt reply. May I please ask a simple question. I own the Super Suite, then I purchased CSS Form Builder. Web Assist does recommend "removing" the validation toolkit before installing CSS Form Builder. Am I to understand that I can go ahead and reinstall the Validation Toolkit and have the CSS Form Builder installed at the same time?

Thank you for your help

No, all of the functionality of validation toolkit exists in CSS Form builder.

You can still apply validation to a page using CSS Form builder the same way you would using validation toolkit.
