Express Checkout Admin no long gives full CC # when option selected

In the admin area I used to be able to check an option to display the full CC# on an order.

But now, even when I check the box, I get partial CC#s.

This was very useful in the past when a customer would call in wanting to change their order. I could go in, having the full CC# and make the change for them. Now I have to ask them to supply me with their CC#.

What gives?

Is this a part of the security issue from late last year?

You should not be storing the credit card numbers in your database. This is a huge security vulnerability.

So, this must have been some new change that was made when you sent me the email about the security issue and had us change our passwords.

Is there any further explanation or is this the new business model at WebAssist?

Are you referring to the Admin Area for the WebAssist Payment gateway?
if so, that is not effected at all by the WebAssist web site. The WebAssist Payment Gateway was a re-branded version of the Plug and Pay gateway:

Jason,

Maybe I'm talking the wrong area - so let me step through things.

When I log in to my admin area here: admin

It takes me to the Express Checkout area where I can view my transactions and run reports on orders.

I used to be able to go to the Transaction Administration area and then run a report of my sales.

At the bottom of this screen there is a checkbox option for "Check to Display Full CC#"

This always gave me a full CC# if I needed it to make a change/addition to a sale for a customer.

Now... when I check that box I don't get the full CC#s any more.

I used to - but not in the past month or so.

Yes, this is the Admin Area for the WebAssist Express Checkout Gateway, This is managed by Plug And Pay.

I guess I don't understand how this effects things.

That is a question for Plug And Pay support. The WebAssist Payment Gateway is not managed by us, it is managed by Plug And Pay.
