Two nagging issues with DFP 2 I can't solve

I searched all over the forums for ansers already.

1: Delete File

No matter what I set the trigger to, the file does not delete from server. No documentation found in help files that I can find. Used on DataAssist generated pages.

2: On Update Form

When Updating a form that has for example a name field and a photo field - if all I update is a spelling mistake in the name, it erases the value for the image in the database therefore the image no longer shows up.

Issue number 2 is the main one that really is causing problems ........ issue 1 isn't a priority yet.

How have you configured the delete to work?

Where is it getting the the file name value from?

on the delete page, you should have a record that returns the file name from the database for the record about to be deleted.

store the file name in a hidden form element that you add to the delete form. In the delete behavior, get the file name from the hidden form element.

Make sure that the delete file behavior is before the delete record behavior.

On the update page, again, add a hidden form element that captures the existing file name from the recordset. In the Upload File Behavior, set the default file field to get the value from the hidden form element. This is covered in the "How to apply Digital File Pro to DataAssist Insert and Update pages" Tutorial in the How To Section of the DFP Support page:

Delete fixed .... thanks

As for the Update page I have done and redone many times using that very same tutorial. It simply doesn't work or there is a step missing in the tutorial.

Three different update pages ... all with the same problem as well. There is no way I could have screwed up following the tutorial that many times including all my do overs trying to get it to work?

Please send a copy of one of the update pages that does not work so I can examine the code.

Okay just did a fourth update form and took about 30 minutes to apply the File Upload as I did it very very slowly with documentation in front of me .... same problem.

File won't attach ... how can I attach the file?

add it to a zip file, you can attach zip files to your response.

In the page you sent, the default file name does not have a value.

'DefaultFileName' => "",

After binding the default file name to the hidden form element, you may need to use the enter key on the keyboard before clicking OK to force the selection to stick.

Hitting Enter first just closes the ui .... doesn't change anything. So still not working.
